Odomly is built to meet the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard — the practical benchmark we also use for AU Disability Discrimination Act alignment and Google Play accessibility expectations. This page sets out what that means in practice, what is already in place, and what we are still working on.
What we aim for
State is never shown by colour alone — every status badge carries a text label and/or an icon.
Text and controls meet AA contrast (4.5:1 body text, 3:1 large text and UI boundaries).
Everything works with a keyboard: visible focus, logical tab order, no traps; dialogs close on Esc and return focus.
Icon-only controls have accessible names; toasts and status changes are announced to screen readers.
Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion; the interface reflows at 320px with no horizontal scroll.
How to use the app your way
Keyboard: Tab through the app; press Enter/Space to activate. A "Skip to content" link appears at the top of every page when you tab in.
Classify a trip: each trip row has explicit Business / Personal buttons — swipe is not required. (The swipe gesture on Android is an optional shortcut; the buttons are always present.)
Reduce motion: turn on "Reduce motion" in your OS settings and Odomly drops non-essential animation.
Zoom: the layout is designed to stay usable up to 200% page zoom.
Known limitations
We continually test with keyboard and screen readers, but we have not yet audited every screen end-to-end. If you hit a barrier, please tell us — we treat accessibility bugs as priority defects.
